I received the following error when trying to play emulate a rom in Project 64
Can not open a rom because plugins have not successfully initializedThe error happened because the audio must be enabled in order to the emulator properly work. Click in your speakers icon and Windows will fix this for you.
This solution does not work.
ReplyDeleteThis worked perfectly! People should be redirected to this! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI feel like a dumbass now lol
how do I get the audio fixed where do I go
ReplyDeleteIt worked for me when I plugged the earphones to the computer
ReplyDeleteDude you rock thanks didn't have any working headphones so I unplugged my broken ones and that's when I got the problem thanks man
ReplyDeleteHello... Three questions (unsure of whether I'll get a response on a 3 year old forum question but nothing ventured, lol): a) would this also occur if I installed on a pc unit without speakers attached? b) I've successfully installed and ran all of the emulators I'm using on my laptop, but the tower I'm trying to install to has done this with more than one emulator (snes emulator also... Says there is a dll error). Could there be some common issue that I'm missing? I've installed old and new versions of each emulator (p64 1.6, p64 2.3, bsnes) and I'm installing remotely (don't think that would matter but thought I'd mention it jic)
ReplyDeleteHi, I can't answer your questions, but let's give it a try:
Deletea) It should not be a problem
b) Does the same error appears for every emulator? Your tower doesn't have speakers, but it probably has some audio input in your motherboard, right? Did you install drivers for it?
Hey, this worked! Never would have thought of this fix myself. Thanks!
ReplyDeletei dont know but i accidently unplugged my headphones a day ago and we cant find the correct inputs, guess ill try putting in a new pair.
